To dampen vibration to the body. Some horn brackets are triple layered. Use a rubber washer too.

Do you have any in your arsenal of parts? Thanks Nacho I dont have any original ones but might have some plastic washers. I am sure McMaster Carr has them. you could probablly get them cheap. |

How about this one ? I guessed at the thickness. Does it go between the horn and the bracket, or the bracket and body? PET only shows s lock washer on the bolt to the body. I have never seen one of those plastic washers on a horn but PET is not always right. Attached thumbnail(s) ![]() ![]() |

Yes the washer fits inside the hole and does not extend past the thickness of the bracket

I pulled one from a horn on my car. I have a bucket of horns somewhere that may have more. There is only one oer horn. |
