There was a company back in the day called (Bremtek) They made a billet hub that bolted onto your 914 strut but had bolt holes for a 911 vented rotor. They also sold some bad-ass brake calipers. I have NO idea what happened to them...but One day I would like to off this billet hub to everyone with a regular 4 cyl strut.

brad,
I think the developer... (bremtek) was George Maybe out here in colorado. He is a club racer locally and used to be much more involved. He has a day job though and I think he just ran out of time to play with the brakes. I could hook you up with an email address if you want. He just hosted a wine and cheese car show event at his house yesterday, I'll forward a link to pictures. He has a damn... impressive shop area for a hobby guy. He built it to copy the original factory building. The last page of pictures shows a speedster he rescued from a man made reservoir. I think it was sunk for 20+ years... a little rusty. http://whirledmedia.com/gmund/gmund.html There is a car locally with these 4 bolt hubs on it. I see the new owner regularly at track events. He has no idea what he has got... I could maybe hook you up with him in the off season if he was willing to pull a hub, but you'd probably be better off talking to george directly for the measurements. George also build a "time machine" self timing device. Kinda like a hot lap only 5-10 years earlier. It sent its own signal all from one unit, but relied upon the signal to reflect back. He was a pretty inventive guy. brant |

It is George (I knew his name)
I wonder if he would be willing to sell me the designs of the hub. I know it was a small market for him. Be very careful how you approach him on these. From what I understand he is very protective of all the "Bremtek" stuff he did. I might be better off getting one from a racer for a few days. B |

The tan RS replica is his 3.0 club racer that ran that tire at one of our local events.
We have a frozen lake event every february called: "Eiskhana" I watche george run the brown 911 one year with those home made tires.. 60 foot ice rooster tails. He also brought a formula car that year ... maybe a FF? and it too had spiked tires. Amazing. Everyone else was running the cone autocross track at 15mph.. and George was going 60mph. b |

Brad there is a shop near me that does high end restorations on old F1 cars (or any car) and they store the cars on racks like that. The have a small forklift to raised lower and move the cars around. The cover the forks with some heavy carpeting.

We have a large forklift... so this wont be an issue for me. Now all I need is room for the tubs..
