Well today I fired up my 2056 for the first time. It went pretty smooth and I got 12 minutes at 3k rpm. I did shut it off though a little earlier then I would have liked because a knock came up. Im afraid its a flat cam, but I'll wait until it cools down and I have a look at the valve lash. I also sprung an oil leak and leaked about half a quart, but I was filled to the brim so it still has a lot of oil. The leak is at the galley plug next to the oil filter. I dont think I tapped deep enough when I drilled and tapped that plug, so I'll fix that when I change the oil tonight.

The engine sounded great, stayed pretty cool, and fired on the second try. All is well in socal for mattr (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/smile.gif) (assuming that knock is a loose valve and not a flat cam)
