Trying to pull my tranny off my V8. Got everything out of the way und unbolted but can’t yank the tranny off the engine. Any secrets? Using a transmission jack but was hoping for some advice so I don’t break anything. Thanks

You have to support the engine as close to the flywheel as possible.
If not, you will have a difficult and dangerous situtation.

support the engine and lift the trans enough to remove the overhung weight. It should separate with little effort.

Got it off. I thought I could get it off with adapter plate attached but after unbolting the granny to the plate, it came off. Off to Doctor Evil! Thanks all
