Have the glove box lid off. How does the glove box lock come off?

For me, I always took the radio out and face plate off. You can get a small flat blade screwdriver into one of four notches on nut to start backing nut off.

Mark is right. The nut holding the lock cylinder on is behind the dash.

Is there something else besides a nut that has to come off? Almost looked like there was something else behind it??

I removed the lock yesterday. The small ring nut holds the latch on. The larger nut holds the lock to the dash.

(Sorry, trying to upload a photo--not working)

Will a small crescent wrench work to remove them both?

No, the ring nut that holds the latch on has 4 surface notches.
