Does anyone know of a way to "fill in" or otherwise repair a corner in the lower dash pad?
I don't know why this is a common problem but on my two 914's, they both are exhibiting the same thing. Or, is there a reasonable aftermarket under-dash "cap" similar to the upper version sold these days? Attached thumbnail(s) |

Our local upholstery shop used to fix that kind of damage for ~$75. Some sort of vinyl patch and then they would spray with vinyl dye. Was invisible when repaired.

I know I can make them. Is there enough demand? The GB for the Roll bars will open up next week.

Interesting comments and obviously a rather common problem. I think I have an offer of one at a reasonable price in any case.
I wonder what 914 rubber would sell them for?... and/or create a lower dash "cap" that would snap on as in the case of the upper cap available presently. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif) |
