The Karman body number in the rear trunk is 132399 which is a 1972 number.
13= 914-6 Karman chassis sent to Porsche factory for assembly 2 = 1972 399 = production sequence |

There was no year digit in the 1970 Karmann body #. (came in 1971) 1=production body (0=replacement) 3= 914/6 body type (0, 1 & 2 are for 911 variants) 2399 is the serial which closely matches the last digits of the VIN |
