I'm running both megaphones and glass packs depending on my mood and the noise restrictions at whatever track I'm going to next....
Here's a couple of photos, not pretty but you get the idea.... The glass packs are "Jones Turbine" and are 2 inch inlet & outlet--had a local muffler shop weld on the flange. Interesting to note....dyno runs with both show no difference...215ish so guess it's not the muffler that is controlling top end.... Here's a link to the Jones mufflers at Summit.... https://www.summitracing.com/parts/jex-jr20...TIaApfCEALw_wcB PS, Yes, that's Peter Dawe at the dyno.... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/pray.gif) |

things are crazy busy right now..
I just took pictures from my build thread to save time original exhaust was straight through twin borla Stainless mufflers 2nd exhaust is not a true cross over. a true cross over should/could be even better this is just a collector that brings the banks together at the very end of the system still picked up 14ft lbs on a back to back dyno run Attached image(s) |

I've run megaphones and an open 2 into 1 on my 2.7L race engine. I haven't dyno'd and honestly couldn't distinguish with the butt dyno either, but have always heard that the 2 into 1 will give better mid range.
I just saw a nice looking custom 2 into 1 in the classifieds. |

I agree combining your exhaust gives extra power. I drove a more highly modified 3.0 with super trapps vs my more stock 3.0 (at the time) with combined exhaust and the difference of the two motors was not as noticeable as I would have thought. Meaning I believe having straight out exhaust combated his mods, but it was less drony.
