Trekkor,
That car belongs to Brian Perry and Todd Harter. They are long time GGR timetrialers. Brian also raced a 356 in the Panamericana years ago. Brian also spec races in SCCA competition. That car has been in a constant state of construction over the last 3-4 years. Finished the paint and graphics about 2 years ago. A very distinctive look to say the least. piggly wiggly...
I've been eyeballing this car for the last month or so. It's just a few minute from home. I saw the graphics through the holes in the shredded car cover. Dan, yeah, I met Todd today. We chatted for a half hour or so. He has quite a few projects, so they are all slow going. Really nice guy. Long time Time Trialer/Instructor. He said he used to a/x with RR/PCA at Santa Roas 20 years ago (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/ohmy.gif) KT Attached image(s) |

I knew I'd seen that car before at thunderhill. That's gotta be the one, unless there's more than 1 piggy in the bay area.

next time you meet him, tell him he got a typo on there ... (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif) it should read: "Der Trüffel-Jäger von Zuffenhausen" note that "Jäger" starts with "J" not "D" ... btw. that means "The Truffle-Hunter from Zuffenhausen" as they use (wild) pigs to hunt for truffles ... Trekkor,
Did you meet Todd or Brian? I thought Brian lived up your way. Brian usually has a beard and very long hair. Todd has a beard and short hair. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/laugh.gif) |

runs in class BX I believe. I thought they were going to put in slightly hotter cams to work better with the carbs.
If you see him again, say "hi" for me. Todd and I used to run in a large group of 914s, Larry Sharp, Curtis Robertson, Kevin Voight, Dennis Tholen, Greg Braun, Sergio Meza, Richard Jung, John Beck, Myself and a few others I can't remember now. We ran in the Blue run group in TT and would go out in a large group and run nose to tail, changing lead after a few laps to help each other find the fastest lines. This was in the mid 1990s. I watched a show about that not long ago... something on the travel channel I think... the guy was having a hard time pretending to enjoy looking for truffles... (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif) the piggy is cool! I think it needs a little corkscrew tail pipe |

Well I'm relieved. When I saw the title of the thread, I feared that Trekkor had been angered by one of the Admins and was hunting him down. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/unsure.gif)
