Todd and I used to run in a large group of 914s, Larry Sharp, Curtis Robertson, Kevin Voight, Dennis Tholen, Greg Braun, Sergio Meza, Richard Jung, John Beck, Myself and a few others I can't remember now.
We ran in the Blue run group in TT and would go out in a large group and run nose to tail, changing lead after a few laps to help each other find the fastest lines.
This was in the mid 1990s. (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/rolleyes.gif)

Hummm, the infamous "blue" group.

he's got "Schinken" spelled with a 'G'

damm, good eye, missed that one ... (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif)
it might be that weird font tho, not sure if that's a "G" or just a artsie "C" ...

yupp, "Schinken" is the right spelling. i think i have to come up there and take a closer "reading" of the car ...

as they use (wild) pigs to hunt for truffles ...

Really?

yes. the pigs are crazy for truffles and can smell them from feet away. truffles grow under ground, so you can't see them just walking around, so they use domesticated wild pigs to go truffle hunting ...

Ah Chili,
Didn't know you hung out here. Yes, the good old days of the "blue" run group.
It was great working with you at the BW Timetrial.
It didn't take you long to get back in the saddle (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/wink.gif)
It is amazing how these threads seem to have a life of their own.
