Just saw it on the TV! (CBC news)
Two weeks to the day. Minor damage this time, but they (reporters) don't know much other than it was 4 bombs...3 in the tube and one bus. I think if they catch the fuckers they should bring back public hanging...Or maybe have them drawn and quartered. |

it's so surreal... they have gotten sick of bombing their 3rd world nations and started attacking outsiders for it... it's insane.
my prayers are with the family's who lost loved ones, and the people who are trying to stop this madness |

I just wonder how much of this activity in UK is tied to some of the recent increase in radical IRA elements committing terrorists acts? I know that just a couple years ago the Israelis were looking for an IRA bomb expert who was training Palestinian Terrorists. UK investigators said bombs found in West Bank area were excatly the same as the bombs used in many terrorist attacks from radical part of the IRA. There have been a few bombings in Ireland recently too. Oh yeah, these same IRA members trained Columbian terorists who have been using similar bombs across the Americas. Terrorism seems to be coming more of an equal opporutunity career unfortunately. I really just cant understand this stuff. |

IMHO, this whole thing is getting way out of control. The Beeb and the London Times both reported that the police shot a suspect dead in a train station. Two eyewitnesses described it roughly this way:
they challenged an "asian guy" the guy ran 20 plain clothes police chased him through the station 5 of them dog-piled on top of him one of them pulled out an automatic and shot the guy 5 times He wasn't carrying a rucksack, and there have been no reports of him carrying or doing anything threatening. So, apparently, they allow summary executions with no evidence of wrong-doing in the UK, now. I'd say it's a really bad time to be in the UK and not be white. |

it IS out of control!
2 bombings in 2 weeks though... IMHO, running=guilt! (just like OJ) pop a cap and sort it out later... if the shooting was bad and the guy wasn't doing anything, I'm sorry for the guy... and the cops will be reprimanded severely but if it takes this to happen to get things done, so be it. 1 innocent person shot because he ran is better than 44 innocent dead because the cops didn't use the force they should have. the guy was doing 'something' or he wouldn't have fought so damn hard to take 5 cops.... I think they would have done the same thing if the guy would have been white... remember the IRA?! |

Here's what's going on just in one country, Thailand.
To quote "Most Moslems in the south are not in favor of the Islamic terrorist campaign, and have to be kept in line if the Islamic terrorists expect to succeed." So they're using thug tactics to intimidate their own people in order to support terrorism. None of this crap going on in Thailand has anything to do with Iraq, Israel, Palestine, etc. but they want you to think it's all due to US/British involvement in the middle East. |

Having lived in the UK for four years I developed strong opinions on the British police. They are extremely mature, professional and very well trained, in fact I believe better trained than in most countries as they have to rely (typically) on their brains to sort out situations, as they arise, i.e., they don't normally carry firearms. They would simply not shoot someone without cause and if they did there would be a formal enquiry to figure out what exactly went wrong. On the other hand running into a tube station, after being challenged to stop by the police, wearing a heavy coat in the middle of the summer, especially after what happened yesterday, isn't a very smart move. |

Wearing a semtex coat with primacord trim requires a certain ...ahem... lack of cognative skills...... (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif) Remember, that's why a lot of us call them "not so smart bombs". (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/lol2.gif) |
