Some time ago I got information about the original engine number for my 1970 914-6.
The car was distributed by Porsche Car Northwest, Inc., Beaverton OR, and has a history in Arizona and California (?) Then it had registration number WILD6. Used in autoslalom events etc.
It would be great to trace it up if it still exists..
Engine number : 6404204

Is it still out there??

Hi Alfy - Just keep looking. Post your search over on Pelican and the Samba too. Run the engine number monthly on the internet to see if it pops up. I have been looking for my original engine case since 2010..... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif)

My mechanic got an orphan 6 engine a few weeks ago (in NJ). Will check with him to see if it can be reunited. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)
