I acquired a 74 1.8 from a friends family along with a good amount of parts. I’ve had the car for a few months but have been slowly going through the parts. Most all the parts I was able to identify and figure out if they were in his plans to change or just spares or the originals that were swapped. I have no idea what this piece is...it might not even be from the teener? If anyone can lead me in a right direction that would be great! Thanks, the forum from lurking and searching has been a wealth of knowledge!

Awesome. Thank you! That makes perfect sense now. I was looking in the interior, no wonder I couldn’t figure it out! Also tried to upload a shot of the car itself but it says I’m over my post limit.
