While traveling at a great rate of speed, you ran ovedr a discarded piece of wood that upon impact splinterd apart, flew into your wheel wells and lodged in between the pads and rotors. I don't know what your brake setup is... Pvalve?

The backs got all the pressure, and the right side rear has a pad problem, that was all the scraping noise..

Results are in. Here is the picture of what we found when the rear wheel was pulled off. Pins gone, pads out to the wheel leaving nice little shiny marks all the way around and luck has it, they both missed the wheel weights.

I'm confused. I thought the dual braking system was intended for exactly this situation. A catastrophic failure in one part of the brake system is'nt supposed to kill all braking, is it?
Did you have any brakes left ?

The brakes worked but when I first hit the pedal, the pistons expanded all the way which is why the pedal went to the floor. The brakes actually stopped me with the help of the tranny but the grinding noise was really loud which made me think there was a major problem, which there was. If anyone has any rear brake pins, let me know what you want for them, I gotta have them before the car can be driven again. I was lucky in the fact it didnt do much damage. The rings on the rim are just scratches. There was no pressure on the pads so it just wore off the paint and dirt to expose a nice clean surface.
