A member here is advertising a /6 project car for sale on the samba. One photo, no e-mail, almost no text, just a phone number and an invitation to call. I found his e-mail address and asked about the car. Got a reply with his phone number and an invite to call. The car is in Salinas, CA. Does anybody here know anything about this car? The ads smell like a scam to me. |

I am all for restoring every 914 out there in rough shape. This car may need some work. I wish they would spend the 1 hour it might take to take all of the pictures we all need to see to decide if that price is good or not. Pictures, videos and the story sell the car. I will say at $45K for what is seen here, that seems like the average enthusiast would be way upside down in no time. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/confused24.gif)
