The one with two holes is the backing plate for the engine lid latch.
I dont recognize the other. |

Nope. It is the hold down for the headlight linkage brushes on early cars. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/agree.gif) The battery holddown is *much* larger, this is a small piece and goes onto the headlight brushes. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/bye1.gif) |

It's actually the holder for the rubber flap. Screws to the body. Keep water from getting past the brushes, at least I think that was the intent.
