One of the clips broke which supports the roof in the trunk of my 914, so it developed a wear mark in that area of about 1/2 inch and 2.5 inches long. A friend said he could fix it and instead of testing denatured alcohol on a small corner he took a swipe with a rag across the area and took off some of the finish and some of the texture of the roof. He never expected it to happen nor did I. Now how can I repair this area or the entire roof? Have the entire thing painted? How do I put the texture back on to the roof it looks so much worse now than before?

Here's one thread with comments regarding the texture.
