Nothing of any specificity here just thought back on the past decade or so and where I am with my 914, past 914s and the people surrounding these cars.

Some of you guys know me personally and some just on here but, while hitting Garold up for some parts this evening it hit me, how many people have come to aid within this little group of misfits and how appreciative I am to be a part of this group.

@GaroldShaffer , every time I see you I buy parts from you and you’ve always been more than reasonable with prices and your willingness to help is unparalleled.

@MB911 , I called you out of the blue during my -6 conversion as the company who promised quick turn on headers wasn’t holding up their end and you came in like a hero and built a set for me that are not only better quality but closer to what I wanted and are true works of art.

I have parts on my car from 914 rubber, PMB and Cary. I’ve bought parts from many of you and have made life long friends because of this group.

I guess that I just want to say thank you to you all. This forum has provided me with tons of ideas and aid through the years I can only think of a handful of people I have had the pleasure to pay it back but, I love this place. Hope that life allows me more time to be with my car over the next few years.

Thanks! I love the compliments these wheels bring. I just like that they’re light weight and simple.

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/agree.gif) I've always thought those wheels were a perfect compliment to the 914
design.
The 'spokes' are similar to the shape of the sail panel and the squarish folded
design is a bit curvy/boxy just like a 914
Rory
PS Thank you for sharing your sentiments about 914 World.....you're not alone

Thomas,
Good thoughts. As you have found Teeners are a large fraternity with most always willing to help. You should’ve posted the mosquito fogging pictures

Happy to be part of your build. Sometimes I am fast and sometimes not. It all depends on workloads. You called at the perfect time

Hey Thomas - Well said. I dare say without 914World.com a lot of us, me included, would have been looking at rusted shells sitting in our garages for very long times as they became storage shelves. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif)

Great post - this community is extremely diverse and geographically dispersed but has remained a tight-knit and (mostly) friendly and fun family for many years now and that's just not common at all anymore. The technical knowledge and resources here are just mind blowing and I agree a lot of us probably would have sold or 'tarped' our cars long ago without this group.

Thanks for the kind words. Always try to help. I have made many friends because of this little car we all love. Had many great times over these past 25+ yrs with fellow 914 nuts.

I could not agree with you more. Work parties and just good old get together's are the best with these Guy's. If they had two of what you needed, good chance you'd end up with one of them.

Funny, as I am down sizing my hoard I just got rid of two shelving units, and everything on them and in them (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
Never fear, there are still more to fix and drive.
