Planning on pulling the engine to refresh the tins, hoses and gaskets. I noticed the intake runners are pretty trashed. Anyone know the gray color that is used to paint them?
Thanks in advance |

Thanks in advance [/quote Can't go wrong with putty-grey...about the same color as most of the new 911s rolling off the showrooms (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) |

I've been restoring VW intakes for years and found the closest and most reasonable priced paint is Duplicolor's New Ford Grey engine enamel with ceramic, its a little glossier than the original satin, but dulls a little once its been on the engine. Perfect color match and Autozone carries it.

Paint them red. Everyone knows that red is the fastest color. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/driving.gif)
