Found this loose wire in the center tunnel area today while cleaning. It comes off the loom at the same place where the center console connectors come off.
It is black with a blue stripe.

This connects to the small-square illumination light next to the heater lever. When you’re illumination lights are on (lights inside the Gauges, Switches, etc) the small-square will also light up. Not really all that necessary, I disconnected mine, but do make sure to ‘cap’ it someway if you’re not using it. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/bye1.gif)

One of the things I learned early regarding 914’s… Just because YOUR car has ‘it’, doesn’t mean that’s how ‘it’ is supposed to be.
