Once the wire was threaded through the hole and the heat shrink was all in place I re-assembled the guage face and installed the LED strip. It is simply taped in place with its own sticky backing. I was concerned as to how that would be enough to hold it place, but I discovered it is quite effective, when I had to re-align it after pushing one portion to deep into the can. It sticks very well.

Here is a picture of the difference in how the guages look after installing the speedometer guage. This picture was taken with the cluster in direct sunlight, but you can still see how considerably darker the speedometer is.

The dark lenses might be the thing to have down here in Texas. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/popcorn[1].gif) |

Here is a picture of what the cluster looks like with all of the guages blacked out, and one with the guages lit with the blackout. They are really awesome, I have not installed the dimmer, so this is full bright, I believe they woud be even better when the light is adjusted.

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/popcorn[1].gif) I was very sceptical at first Fred, but I did one guage to look at, before prying all of them open. Once I saw it, I was definately with it. When the car is done, it will certainly fit the overall look of the car. At least in my opinion. |
