Hi All,

After some advice please on a distributor. I am process of restoring a 1973 2.0 litre, GA engine code and I am unsure whether I have the correct distributor. It is brand new, but I think it’s from a type 4.. (it came with the engine..)

The number on the side of the dizzy is 0231 172 019. And I believe the correct distributor is 0231 174 009 for a 1973 2.0 litre…

My questions are;

Implications of running the 172 019 dizzy in my car?
What do I need to change to make it correct - eg same spec as the 174 009..

Any suggestions, advice would be appreciated.

Thanks

Andy

Will you be running carbs or the original FI? Far better distributors are available than that one for a 914.
