I have fresh replated, and rebuild 914/4 rear calipers and thought I would run 911SC vented rear rotor, am running 911 Carrera front vented rotors and figured easy upgrade for the rear. I got spacer blocks from rear 911 calipers, but upon disassembly of the 914/4 calipers I discovered the bolt holes do not line up properly for the spacer blocks I already bought. Does anyone make a kit of spacer blocks for 914/4 to allow a vented rear rotor to be used? I already turned down the overall diameter of the vented rear rotor to 914 size. Trying not to purchase 914-6 rear calipers because of the cost.
Help please with some information and knowledge from you guys. Thanks in advance. Jim Dorociak. jdorociak@gmail.com |

I am sure you are right. The 4's rear calipers probably do the job just fine, but this is a 75 conversion and I know there is real value in as many 914-6 components that get used as can be afforded although it will never have a six serial number. I ended up getting 914-6 calipers to restore and space out using the 911 rear caliper spacer blocks and of course the SC vented rear rotor. It is my piece of mind. Bob can you post some pictures of your car and the gas burner wheels? I find them an interesting look. I am still struggling to put metal flares or keep it original. Thank you. Jim
