I live in the SF Bay Area and used to go to Parts Heaven for 914/911 used parts. Now that they are gone where is the best place to buy used parts? Where did all their inventory go?

We moved two 25’ Penske trucks full of Porsche parts from Huston to PA in May. Packing the parts, loading the parts, driving x-country, unloading and storing. Costly and time consuming. No way to make it work financially with 914 parts, even if they were free.
Plane flights
Truck rental
Forklift rental
Purchase 160 plastic bins
Purchase $2k lumber to make wood crates
Hotels in Huston and trip back
Food and transportation
Probably $15 + in expenses.

Yeah, people don't get it, until they do it. People also don't understand how to price stashes until you explain the math to someone. I was recently at a shop outside of Chicago and a guy had a small warehouse of 356 and 911 parts. I asked how much he wanted and he said, "there is at least six digits of parts here." Meaning $100,000. I said ok, let's do the math. In order for me to pay you $100,000 there has to be at least $150,000 in parts for me to buy it, box it, ship it, sort it, and then sell it. And in order to get to $150,000 I picked up a Zenith carb and said "this is worth about $100." He agreed. I said I have to reach into this stash and grab a part worth $100, and then do it again 1500 times. Lift your arm in the air 1500 times, it's really really hard to do. The guy didn't understand the math, so I left.

Even once it’s at home and in storage, it took days for someone to look up each part, price it, then enter in a spread sheet.
Then we still have to list it, sell it, package and ship.
It’s also a lot of money to tie up in parts. It doesn’t all sell overnight.
We look for a 1/3 ratio to make it worthwhile.

And deal with the inevitable returns because people can't read or think they are smarter than you.
