I am looking at a 1975 914 and I can't identify the wheels. The only comparable wheels I can find online both just identify them "aftermarket wheels".

I haven't seen the spare of the car I am looking at yet. Does anyone recognize these wheels and have any information on them? Thanks for any help. |

I have them also. Here's a good link with some history. Post #9 in particular.
http://www.914world.com/bbs2/index.php?showtopic=159529 If you buy it, take care of the lug nuts (bolts). They're unique to those wheels. Also, I found some pretty nice Porsche crest center cap badges. LMK if you need the link. |

Thank you both for the pictures, your cars look great.
That link was very helpful, since I am in SoCal the car could have come from the same dealership in the thread. Definitely something to investigate if I do acquire the car. |

When quickly looking at the car from the pics provided, the passenger door and hood have alignment issues. Drivers door above Karman tag is contacting. Drivers side headlight looks low. Exhaust install appears to have needed to modify the rear valence. Dash fit and finish around radio can be improved. Looks like overspray on the firewall pad. Three wires coming off the front harness in the frunk, don’t look connected. Steering wheel needs recovering.
Nothing major, but a long laundry list, and no pics of the underside. |

These are not American Racing per se, could’ve been made by them, but they are called Dan Gurney wheels. I have the same on my 914. And yes, they use a specific stud and lug nut combo.
