Chop shop story reminds me of what happened to my 73 911 Targa. Back in the late 1990's I sold the 911 to somebody in Houston. Fast forward 10 years, I got a phone call from the LA Sheriff Dept saying they found my 911 in a chop shop in LA. I had a good laugh and told them the story. Seems I was the last registered owner.
