Hi all,

I'm considering building up my stock 1800 into a 1911 and wanted to get some opinions before I pull the trigger. This will be used for street driving and autocross use so I'd still like a smooth idle and road manners.

The pistons I found are manufactured by AA, looking online they have mixed reviews and from what I understand are sourced from China. Anyone have any first hand experience with this brand?

I then talked to web-cam and they recommended their 00-152 mild street cam. specs are:
Valve Lash (Inch): .006"
Valve Lift (Inch):0.422
Valve Lift (mm):10.73
Advertised Duration:273°
Duration @ 0.050":234°
Lobe Center:108°

I plan to use my existing weber 40IDF carbs, what jets and venturi size should I use?
Has anyone built something like this before? Thanks in advance!
