Just before we left I met Dave.

He asked which car was mine and proceeded to go over and check it out. As some know I got this car as a project where the flares and paint had been done in 1995.

I acquired the car in 2013 with this awesome Imron paint. I have never really been a fan of the flag mirror choice but know it really can't be changed because paint could never be matched properly to the Imron.

To my surprise Dave commented on the mirrors right away saying that he really liked them on the car. My wife said the look on my facce was priceless. Thanks Dave for a new found liking for my mirrors (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

I think those are the same ones on my new car. What is the story on those? Where were they used?

They came on the car when I bought it. I have always thought they were regular G Body 911 flag mirrors and therefor likely has the same door contour.

The person to best answer this question is Larry from PMB as he chose them for his car.

Pardon the stretched pic it is a crop of a wide shot.

I believe…. But could be wrong. That the 944 mirrors were commonly used as they fit the contour better than the 911 version

It’s been years since I messed with them and I could have that wrong

A big thanks to Stratplayer for making my trip to RR2022 great. Ferried me from and back to the Slc airport, got to ride with Jim for 3 days, and drove his fabulous 75 914.
Attached is a you tube video of a trip from the host hotel to PMB and what I saw upon arriving at PMB.
Thank you

Did a copy paste in a new window and worked just fine. Great video, wish more of us had thought to do that!

Did anybody get a video coming down main street in Park City?

You can swap the bases, but beware of the right hand drive mirrors from the UK and Japan. I bought a set from Japan and could not figure out why the passenger side was so messed up.
What's nice is that you can get electric ones and I think they look better than the aero mirrors since they are square like our cars.

Yes a video was made of the cars going down main street in park city. One of the PMB employees made the video. I've seen parts of that video. A lot of videos were made but none showing up for viewing.

I got a surprise package in the mail this weekend.

How cool is it that not only did I win a raffle prize despite rushing out the door without my ticket, it's something that was at the top of my wish list because it's something I would use.
