No affiliation, I thought I would pass this on hoping the original 914 owner might be looking for this engine: Engine stamping *6410235* corresponds to a 901/36 flat-six produced for a 1971 914/6. (Auction ends Feb 4th at 11:35am). This 2.0-liter Type 901/36 flat-six was removed from a 1971 Porsche 914/6 and was purchased by the seller in 2015 before being refurbished by the seller’s shop, Bach Racecraft. Equipment includes a refurbished distributor, oil cooler, and Weber carburetors as well as an ignition coil, cooling fan and shroud, alternator, and airbox. This Type 901/36 flat-six has been run-in and tuned and is now offered by the seller in Verona, Wisconsin.

Racecraft, Jim Bach is a first class shop. They handle race car builds, prep and track support, full restorations (356 on up). He fixed my body damaged when I made the mistake of not putting the hood pins in. And also did a final tune on my 2.2E with S pistons,PMOs with DC 30 mod-solex cams. Runs great now. Great service and very timely. Best, Mark

Last bid was $16,700 but did not meet reserve. I'm sure Jim has that much in the rebuild. Best luck Jim. And yes Worn it is up and running after 29 years. Will be at some events this summer. Thanks, Mark
