I have the wide thin arrow head trim tool for removing the windshield trim.
Is there a better tool? Please don’t ask why (IMG:style_emoticons/default/dry.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/unsure.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/drunk.gif) |

Perry, Most folks use a putty knife. would you rather have a tool that pulls instead of push? https://www.aircraftspruce.com/catalog/topa.../chipchaser.php

Five windshield installs and no problem, sixth time (when I really don’t need to have trouble), not so much. The bottom piece had an interference problem with the rubber blocks. Arg!

After newmerous broken windshields, I went the putty knife route. Letting the car sit in the sun, minus the trim, softened the butyl. I wound up using cedar shims to keep the windshield from resticking to the butyl. The fancy 'pro' tool broke windshields in the corners. It took about 3 hot summer days of sweating to get one out unbroken.
