Sorry for the off topic/ non techno blather...
I Need a part to get my car off of the jackstands.
I put up a pelican add with no avail.
I'm hesitant to go to a dealer and blow $45 on a nut.
I thought someone might have an extra from a trashed strut or something

basically I need ONE spindle nut, thrust washer, and allen bolt that tightens the spindle nut ....
(I'm referring the the spindle nut that holds/tightens the wheel bearing.)

This is the late style strut (SC) with the bigger spindle.

Does anybody have a spare?
thanks for everyone's time.

I went through this not to long ago..

IIRC some of the 944's have the same type of nut on there cars. It seems like someone is always parting out a 944 (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Best of luck in your search

Oh... great Idea,
I'm glad I asked.
I'll check the PET to see if the 944 works...

thanks.

Me: "did you get the nuts and washers for the hubs ???"

I hear ya Brad...

I found a good deal (so I thought) on a '74 frontend. The bad was I didn't know there was hubs (unlike the 914) and it was missing all hardware. I got all tingly about the new calipers I failed to notice the missing pieces (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

Took me some time to track down all of the missing parts.

Just another one of those learning things hu?

Cheers (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beer.gif)

brian,

I'll send you an email off list...
(happy happy joy joy)
Tell me where to send a check.

Yes I bought parts and one side was disassembled the other not. On the disassembled side there were a few minor items missing.... and yes it has been a pain in the butt....
