Not just the Ferrari build update but a little more detail on @Cairo94507 Michael's muffler tip mod. Heads up that there's some potentially disturbing footage of a rescue kitty we're just taken in. Please consider supporting your local animal rescue!

Chris did a great job on my muffler tailpipe. Now the proper "finisher" fits on and the Sport Dansk sounds just right in my opinion. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif)

For those worried about junk finding its way inside the suspension ear reinforcement, have no fear: I 3D printed a snap-in cover!

Obviously, I still have a lot to learn about 3D printing materials and settings. This is my first go with TPU (a soft-ish rubber-like material) and the errors you can see are adhesion issues I had issues with the support material that's needed when printing overhangs of any significance. That lower section tips away at a 20 degree angle.
But even this version is 100% functional if not up to my target quality standard.

I'm sure I'll get there soon.

1. Scan the intake area
2. Use the scan to reverse engineer the manifold surface and mounting hole locations
3. Model an intake block-off plate (with totally unnecessary extrusions that fit into the ports!)
4. 3D print and install

And no, none of this gets me any closer to making it run!
But it sure is cool tech and these are actually quite useful parts.

Figured I may as well do the same for the air/oil separator opening. Branded, too! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/happy11.gif)

Only a few things left to do before I try and start this thing. If only I weren't distracted by the scanner and printer!

I like seeing how the "sausage" is made because it gets me thinking about all of the possibilities now available. I am glad to see Waze is doing great, growing and gaining weight. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif)

Wow very cool, I love the wrinkle finish!!! In high school(50 yrs ago) that was my favorite choice for painting my parts. Great episode, yes I like seeing the small details that go into each part and design, especially when you do it 3 times (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)
Good to see Waz has recovered well!!!

The plenum has been refinished and it may look good in this pic but the powder coat is a "No-Go", quality-wise. If you want more detail, watch the next episode. I'm very disappointed...
