Very cool to see that. I didn't realize there were different thicknesses for the fender vs the lids. I knew there were some bits that are thicker.

I ran the pic through ocr trace and google translate and did a few corrections/guesses to get this

DESCRIPTION OF THE STRUCTURE TYPE 914 AND 914/6

DESCRIPTION OF THE BODY-SHELL

The two-door, self-supporting body of the 914 model has a welded-on roll bar and a removable roof made of glass-fibre reinforced plastic. The interior of the body is divided by transverse walls into the front luggage compartment, the space for the fuel tank, the tool compartment and the rear luggage compartment.

The structure is assembled and welded from the floor assembly with longitudinal and cross members, the transverse walls and the door pillars, the front and rear side parts (fenders) and the roll bar. The front and rear deflector plates as well as the longitudinal beams, side panels and bumper fingers are made of sheet steel and are screwed on.

The rear luggage compartment and the engine compartment are accessible from the outside through one cover each, the luggage compartment from and the space for the fuel tank through a common cover.

Sheet Thickness

External sheet metal 0.75 mm
side parts front and rear (fenders) 0.88 mm
cover front and rear 0.75 mm
inner sheets 0.75 mm – 1.13 mm (depending on function)

The pull button is on the left on the rear wall of the vehicle interior. A grid is embedded in the cover, which controls the supply of the cooling.heating. and combustion air you allow the engine. A water catch plate is arranged under the grille. The lid of the rear luggage compartment, also attached by concealed hinges, is held open by two torsion bar springs. The cover is sealed with rubber seals and can be closed with a pressure lock.

DOORS

The doors are 1115mm wide and are bolted to the front pillars with adjustable internal hinges. The opening angle of about 60° is limited by the door brace. The doors are opened from the outside by a handle on the door surface and from the inside by pulling a safety button recessed in the door. The door is locked after the security button has been locked by pulling out the button on the outside handle during the 'locking' process. Both doors can also be opened from the outside with the key. and finish.

If the lock is locked with the security button on the inside handle when the door is open, the security is automatically released when the door is closed and the door is unlocked again. However, if the outside handle button is pulled out and the door is closed with the door open and the safety button locked, the door is locked at the same time.

Below the window is sealed with two seals. The inner seal is attached to the body and the outer lip seal is attached to the door.
