It's a quick release aircraft style pin.. push button on the other side that lets the little ball move inward to it can be removed.... I think this car is all about changing things quickly for track conditions... Probably a better way to do this but I'm sure they never lost a pin...
I'd love to have it, but the devil is in the detail. Need to take a closer look at the rest of the car. This looks like it could be dangerous. I would let him know about this. Thanks! Clark |

"PIP pins". I use them on RV/trailer solar panel mounts for easy release to pivot up toward the sun.
