I’m picking up a tranny and want know whether it’s likely to fit into the front trunk.

Not sure but a boxster tranny will fit in a 914 trunk

Boxster front trunk is pretty small. You might have better luck getting it in front of the passenger sear. Measure the front trunk and then have someone measure the trans.

Jim,

The trans is 26" long, 18" wide at the rear and 13" diameter at the front.

Only have 16 1/2 in the front, plenty wide. Can use front seat
The Boxster is a 987, trunk is smaller than the original 986

The 901 will also fit perfectly in the frunk of a 914.
