From a '74 currently FS on eBay. Was this an aftermarket mod back in the day?

Two of my 914s had these consoles and they were very comfortable and functional. They’re a little cheaply made but can be reinforced to hold up well. It doesn’t encroach on the gas pedal space like a factory console.

amco very popular dealer installed option when the cars were new. Amco was a sports car accessory manufacturer. They made for the 914 a shift knob, a center console, the chrome rear rack and then had things like floor mats and car covers
