Hi: This CA 1.7 just popped up: https://www.ebay.com/itm/265780179381?hash=...ABk9SR7a8xaTAYA

He does not mention anything about a missing Title, but if you click on "See other items" you see that he has a duplicate listing for the car that doesn't show up anywhere else, that I can find.
https://www.ebay.com/itm/265779989528?hash=...9MAAOSwmGpi0G6F

In this version he notes that it's Bill of Sale only:

We had the original title to the car at some point but can’t fine it so.

We only have a bill of sale it appears to be off the books with DMV

This may not be an issue in some states, but I wonder if/when he'll inform bidders who don't find that other listing?

Hi Ron,

Just a thought-the listing without the mention of the absent title is newer. Perhaps they actually found it? I dunno. I keep wearing these rose colored glasses. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sunglasses.gif)

"I keep wearing these rose colored glasses"

I like that philosophy, but in this case skepticism rules!

Does the seller realize he has the same car listed twice?

When someone can not even write a complete/proper sentence in an ad, the red flag immediately goes up in my mind. Just saying. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif)

Agreed. I see that sometime after my chat inquiry he added info about the missing title down below in the notes section. In small font.

But, he could have just as easily changed the part where he says the Title is "Clean"

Essentially misrepresentation I believe.

TBF this is an eBay limitation on auctions. Once an auction has bids a seller can't change the title (eBay locks it from edit). Seller can only "append" the listing so that one can track when the change was made. These edits show up as tiny font adds just like you see on this listing. To me, he seems to have done has best he can to right the wrong given how auctions with bids work. Still confused as to why he has the same car listed twice.
