prompted by @JeffBowlsby 's post about #1 LE currently for sale.

given LE's were in part commemoration for 100,000 th 914.

don't know if anyone's ever worked out which car it is and the Vin #?
because its not #1 LE. wasn't quite up to 100K then.
couldn't find anything on a search here to see if anyone knew.

2 ways to work it out - using the yearly vin numbers and members vin info here.

1
include all cars 914/4, 914/6, 916.
(but exclude any pre production prototypes and i did not include 914/8s - so there could be a bit of wobble if you knew how to include all those).

would be vin # 4742917835.

not recorded on our vin register but falls in band of LE cars vin numbers towards the end.
(may not exist anymore (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif) ).

2.
100,000 th 914/4

would be vin # 4742921217

it still lives (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) (or did until at least recently).
humble 74 1.8
as @StarBear says "destined to be a classic". (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beer.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/laugh.gif)

EDIT
i've got the flu at the moment, its worse than covid.
sitting by the heater with a head like a watermelon.
got an extra zero in there.
talking a hundred thousand. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beer.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)
