For Sale: 1970 Porsche 914 1.7l in Tangerine

I am selling my 914 after 4 years of ownership. I purchased this car in Seattle in 2018 and I believe this has always been a PNW car.
I’m hoping to sell through the forum as this has been home for the car (and I) since the first day I brought it home and thought “oh crap, how do I work on this thing!”

The forum has been a tremendous help while I have rebuilt and restored a lot on this vehicle. Huge thanks to Mark @ 914rubber, 914Werke, Mepstein and all the guys on the forum for guiding me and helping me source parts.

Asking $20,000
1.7L with D-jet, Duck tail and Riviera Wheels (wheels included in sale but not installed)
This car has always lived inside under a car cover with me and I believe was also the case with prior owner
The gentleman I purchased the vehicle from had the starter replaced, transmission rebuilt and clutch replaced during his ownership, I believe sometime in 2017.
Many labor intensive and, let’s be honest, somewhat miserable repairs have been accomplished on this including but not limited to the Hell Hole repair, Rebuilding Suspension and Calipers, Bearings, Expensive wiring harnesses, leaky oil seal replacement etc. It’s been a labor of love that the next owner will get to enjoy as most of the big ticket items have been addressed.

Below are all the items that have been replaced, rebuilt, restored, rejuvenated etc

Tires have lots of life left in them. They are Michelin 195/60R15.

What’s left?
At some point the seats could use some new covers. I have recovered (over the original material) the seat bottoms, easily removed. The paint has some imperfections, small chips etc but overall still shines and looks great! It is a repaint of the original tangerine, not sure from when. It is smothered in wax and comes with a cover to keep it protected! When in the future a repaint is deemed appropriate some of the weatherstripping could be replaced at that time.

I hope this car finds a great home. I have really enjoyed owning it and my goodness have I learned lots of new things!

If you’d like to see more pictures or ask more about the car than is listed above, let me know and I’ll do my best to accommodate.

Car is located in Olympia, WA. Come take a look and see if this is the right car for you!

2 totes of spare parts and bonus extras included.

Car is sitting on new Steelies from Sierra Madre. The original Rivieras are boxed up and will come with the vehicle. Same tire size so tires can swap back too.

Prior owner attempted to "modify" the fog light circuit. It has since been rewired back to factory and now they work great!

4 Speakers and the Sub make this stereo actually sound pretty great for a 2 door convertible.

Bluetooth hands free talking. The microphone is by the steering wheel and believe it or not my wife can actually understand me when I call her in the car.

This is my DIY console. It is NOT attached to the car, rather it slots over the tunnel and can be removed with connectors to the speakers etc. Cup holder attached to the side for beverages on the go!

Fuel pump and filter on this car were originally installed in the rear of the vehicle and were the subject of vapor lock issues.
This is a modern Bosch pump and easy access to the fuel filter!
