My baby was stolen this last weekend. Stolen from Autowerkes Porsche in Huntington Beach Ca. It looks like the car was targeted as other cars were broken into to move them to get to my car. I am heartbroken. As many of the long time members know my car is an over the top GT resto-mod and a multi year thread exists here on the World as testament.

Thanks for all the comments and concerns.
I have just learned from Hagerty that I cannot accept a settlement from them and then go after the shop for any difference from insured value and market value. This is most likely because Hagerty will be going after the shop to recover their loss. I had decided I wanted to make the car perfect, it was at Autowerkes to address a leaky transmission. I also had plans for some new minor mods in process, it is much easier to love your baby when she is perfect and not constantly marking the floor. Yes I had talked about selling earlier this year and talked to Bringatrailer, they loved the car BUT the leaky trans is an issue. She was not far off from being a super high dollar seller at BAT, sad. |

Your car is certainly unique in many ways and I'd guess it would be difficult to sell as is...I hate to think of it being cut up for just parts. |
