Major tweek factor.
How is it possible that his 1.5 liter FOUR can hang with the P-crowd? TTOD was 45.925 I had a 47.574 and Grant dropped a 49.812. I got a 47.451 in my one "fun run" with a passenger (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/headbang.gif) Why can't I get my best time on the books? Anyway, here Grant in action. I was just going to ask if Toyota was behind the course design.

Nope. 928 guy (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/wink.gif) Had a straightaway nearly a 1/4 mile long. Break it up with a slalom or a chicane and guess what? Back-to-back (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/smilie_pokal.gif) Here's a quick and dirty course map on the requested Google sat-shot. KT Attached image(s) |

Yeah the 1/4 mile straight didnt help one bit. However I think I beat 2 of the 3 928's even with the drag race. And I almost had the tubeframe hillclimb car - He only got me by about 3/10 of a second. Trekkor I was a little over 2 seconds off your time. Thats what I did last time at Marina in my 914 with Hoosiers! So I need to find some Hoosiers for this car and I'll have a TTOD car? (IMG:http://www.914world.com/bbs2/html/emoticons/biggrin.gif)
If my damn tires would have hooked up I would have been trouble. Not bad for a little Echo on street tires. Think I was in top 50% today. I heard more than a few people mutter "that damn Echo beat me". Only if there were an Echo cup! Trekkor, Thanks again for the use of your video cam, cant wait to see video from the Echo-Cam! Great fun today! Trekkor was moving well. Did you beat that Datsun? |
