Hi: This popped up as a teaser for one of those super annoying click-bait slide show ads (Vintage photos of life in the 80's) on a news website I was looking at. I had to page through a bunch of stupid slides to get back to this one, but it was interesting now quickly the 914 shape caught my eye.
Sharing just for a bit of nostalgia value:

Body colored bumpers, minimal trim, steel wheels with hubcaps.

Somehow, that look has really grown on me over the years.

I think '72 also had body colored bumpers on non-appearance group cars.

That is a cool picture, brings back memories of old Pizza Huts. The 914 is very cool.

But this version is cropped a little wider, and do I spy a 911 there?

Just got back from 8-day bus tour of SW National Parks - tried to catch a window seat to check out all the lots with rusty cars to see if any hidden 914s out there. Lots of trucks, A few bugs and a VW van, but no 914s.

They say 80s, but all the cars are early 70s. Not sure about the bikes.

The car on the far left looks like a VW fastback. The vehicle on the far right could be a split window VW bus, but it really tests ones eyesight and it might just be wishful thinking. Either way, it's a cool 914 and photo!

The white car looks to be a 1970 Plymouth Fury II (Although it could be a 1971 Fury III, hard to tell without a straight on look at the taillights). My grandmother had a 1970 Plymouth Fury III that she named "the bitch" because it would, about twice a summer, just die whilst driving with the A/C on. It'd start right back up.

Ah! Thanks. It didn't quite look right for 911 but couldn't squint hard enough to figure out what it might be. Yes, fastback.

(IMG:style_emoticons/default/agree.gif) Had a white 72 with body colored bumpers. It also had front and rear sway bars and no fog lights. Seems whoever ordered it was leaning more towards sports car.
