HAs anyone thought of installing a front trunk lock system on the reat trunk? I am looking for a better way to deal with the "Rear reflector" addition.
The front lock is designed for use with a cable and could be adapted easier to be used with an emergency system. Thoughts? Anyone have an extra set of front locks? Cheers Kerry |

You would have to make the lid spring loaded so it tops up when you pull the cable.
Could be done...try one of those shock kits that holds the lid up. Paul |

Actually in a different thread I mentioned I still have one of the cable release latched in lue of the solinoid unit.
I just couldnt come up with a pull cable for it (the existing one was broke) I had never thought of reusing the front hood release cable/handle/guide tube? Pretty good idea. The kicker is OE mechinism uses a solid wire pinched by a bolt in the front at the latch. The latch I have used a multi strand cable with a small leaded end? Here is a bad Pic: Attached image(s) |
