I read some time ago that you can use a VW rabbit brake hose for an oil pressure extension, does anybody know if this true. If so what hose do I get. Or if anybody can suggest what hose I should be using it would be appreciated

Thank you

Grease gun hose, or an ⅛"npt pipe extension

I have been getting 6" flexible stainless steel hoses from Pegasus. Reasonably cheap if i recall, less than 10 bucks

The stainless hose might provide a ground connection, otherwise you will need that too with a rubber one.

Don't use a grease gun hose, it will fail under high pressure start ups!

I'm planning on running a pressure gauge as well. Are there any details posts or videos on fabricating one of these extensions for the sender? I couldn't find any via the site's search function.

Too bad they don't make these any more - looks like a perfect set up.

I have one as well - great setup. Got it here by asking if anyone had an old one on the shelf. They're out there.

This thread reminded me that I was still waiting on an 80 psi VDO single pole sender unit from Aircooled.net. Just checked it. Looks like they cancelled my order due to supply issues. Just found it on Amazon!
