Hi Folks,

I had a 74 Alaska blue met around 15 years ago and it was my first Porsche. Well, I miss it, and I want another 914 (IMG:style_emoticons/default/driving.gif)

I'm also have a couple projects in the garage so I'd really like to find something that I can hop in and drive when the snow thaws. I'm located in Wisconsin.

I have a couple leads on some cars but I'd like to see what the folks here might have.

Thank you!
Steve

Would this be your car? I bought it out of Madison, WI back around 2010-11.

There it is! Thanks Mike for chiming in! That was a solid car and started my adventures in the Porsche world. I found it on the side of the road west of Madison on the verge of sitting outside for a winter. It's not often you see a midwest car going to California.

That was a great car I never should have sold it but I thought I got all the money in the world for it back then $20,000.

Indeed Mike,

I new it was in good hands when I sold it to you! Looking at the photos in your post brings back some really good memories. Loved that interior, the paint, the wheels...

Your 6 looks gorgeous, I'd LOVE to see it sometime! Nepal/Signal orange is on the shortlist of what I'm looking for.

Wish me luck!
Steve

Six is gone to California also. Sold on BAT in 2018.

Done with the vintage Porsche now, driving a 2018 Cayman painted in Chalk.

Hi Steve,
I have been debating selling my 1976 2.0
Second owner, have had it around 20 years.
Always garaged.
Haven't driven it in at least 5 years, but was running at that time.
Pulled it out of the garage for pics, but didn't drive beyond because the tires are over 15 years old (even though they have fewer than 300 miles on them).

The good...All original except the fuel lines have been replaced with stainless steel. Gas tank has been coated, and vacuum lines replaced around 7 years ago.

The bad...Almost 50 year old paint. Original owner did a poor job touching up nicks on drivers door and hood. Paint crack on right rear fender. Dead battery. Small (2") tear on driver door material.

Would probably need a tune-up and valve adjustment, who knows what else?
In suburb of Kansas City (Kansas side).

Thanks Mike,

I sent a message to the last owner around a week ago without a reply yet. We'll see but I'm not holding my breath.

There is another car that I like alot and talking with the owner now. Looks promising.

Thanks Axel,

I'll keep this in mind and let you know if I'd like more info.
