SOLD: Pair of 1.7 and 1.8 (I think) stainless steel heat exchangers.

Please read:

I don't know the story of these but I am not sure the ends at the heads are correct (pros, please chime in). (IMG:style_emoticons/default/dry.gif) I guess someone could weld on the proper ones.

Pictures are pretty descriptive and I can obviously take more.

I was surprised to see that the tubes are 1 1/2", which is the same as my 2liter SS heat exchangers. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Price: $150 $100 OBO

Pick up welcome in Claremont, CA, or can meet in Pasadena on certain weekdays.
Could also ship at buyers expense.

Thank you for looking! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif)

This appears to be a very good deal!! The ends are not correct as far as I know. But the factory ends would be easy enough replicate/fabricate and weld on I assume.
These shouldn’t take long to sell.

Thank you (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

Priced accordingly base on uncertain head ends. (IMG:style_emoticons/default/confused24.gif)

Someone has cut off the cast ends from a set of OE 1.7L HE's & grafted them on.
Not sure why but I do recall the ears on the SSI are prone to tearing free if you over torque them as the SS pipe is thin in contrast to OE.
You may be able to simple cut them clean & use a set of Chris's Stub pipes?

Those are not stock 1.7 ends, they appear to be for square port late bus heads.

Stock exchangers/oval ports have the nut flanges recessed.

Thank you for the info! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

I did mention in the original post that something was unknown at the head ends.

That is why I am open to offers! (IMG:style_emoticons/default/beerchug.gif)
