This story begins a long time ago, in a galaxy far away, called California.

But first I wanted to start with some prophetic words from an old friend, that I miss dearly, as I am sure many others do too.......... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/slits.gif)

Here are 2 links with a bit of a history on how THOMAS got the car:

ONE LITER UPGRADE

Note: The car did not come with the cool gauges, and all of the oil lines have since been remastered by PMB (so I am told (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) )

Thomas posted a lot of pics IN THIS THREAD But I did not do a great job with site maintenance, and they have disappeared........... (IMG:style_emoticons/default/sad.gif)

He purchased the car from SWood, for I think $1000?

Here is a snapshot of what I got when I bought it (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

It went from THOMAS, to Joe Sharp, to Steve (for a month or two?), to me (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif), to PMB

I stripped it down in 2014, then kids, then covid, then PMB picked it up in 2021 (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)
Somebody might have pics from loading it onto the trailer..........

One of my favorite colors as well... at one of my favorite shops. You are very fortunate my friend. Can't wait to see photos of this one (IMG:style_emoticons/default/cheer.gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/popcorn[1].gif) (IMG:style_emoticons/default/shades.gif)

My recollection of the car is that it was really fun to drive. 2.7 S was really peppy. The response was wonderful. The factory should have built that car. Aside from the race car it is the 914 I have enjoyed driving the most.

I could use some help sourcing some items.
I have been out of the game for a little while and it seems I gave away a bunch of my old stock from cars we cut up in my garage.

If anyone could point me in the right direction for the following items, that would be awesome!

Interior Fabric Kit (tan) OR I need 2 seat cushions for a '74 tan basket weave

Door handles

Tan Carpet Kit

Thanks!

Hey Joe!

My dad always asks about you.

You can see the TAN interior sitting against the wall. I think the contrast is going to be great!
