What are the group's sentiments/experiences with a DIY overhaul of the brake pressure regulator? Can't find any shop manual references, which is usually ominous!

Had mine restored by PMB it was well worth the money it cost, don’t fall into the trap of doing everything yourself, it’s ok to farm out certain jobs.
