What are the group's sentiments/experiences with a DIY overhaul of the brake pressure regulator? Can't find any shop manual references, which is usually ominous!

Are you sure that it needs overhaul? I have been wondering myself if it a was prudent to rebuild it, even if it looks good and tests good. My understanding is worst case, the front to rear brake bias would be sub-optimal. Not that brakes wouldn't work. I may be wrong about that though.

FWIW, there is a section on Checking and Adjusting Brake Pressure Regulator in the Workshop Manual - Group 6 Section 3.3. I think it is right above what was shared by @zoomCat .
