Is there a replacement for 74 2.0 PCV

Yes

This is the PCV valve, it requires a rubber gasket, I don’t remember the part number, it is for a Toyota I believe, but it is posted on a previous thread.

I cut the end of this to take up the space to attach the hose.

I would add 'kind of' to this. It doesn't respond exactly like the original, and when I tried it the rubber gasket wasn't reliable either. I ended up cleaning and resurrecting the original.

I’ve removed the internal plunger to do some testing, I’m not going to tear an original apart.
Without the plunger the opening is about 4 to 5 mm.

Looks pretty much original.

Yeah, the issue I had, beyond the spring and orifice differences was the bleed by at idle was different as well. My tb idle screw doesn't seal so the increased air bypass at idle caused high idle issues.

Try a wrap of teflon tape (IMG:style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

I can't believe I hadn't thought of that. I will give it a shot.
